THE M.E.S. PTO IS LOOKING FOR NEW MEMBERS
for the 2007-2008 year
We are not a money driven organization. We have found from experience that
many issues can be solved by talking to the right people. For instance when
a crossing guard was needed we spoke to Larry Lay (County Executive) and
Shannon Cole (Chief of Police) they provided all the resources.
Sometimes we do fund-raisers like old time bake sales and fun things like
fairs. But we also sponsor great events for the kids, and don't charge a
dime.
Nobody who joins is asked to donate anything but ideas. We realize that many
parents want to help but may not have a lot of time to volunteer. We want
their ideas and help in the decision making. Never once have we wanted to
do something and not had enough people to help.
So if in the past you wanted to join a group and were afraid they would bleed
you dry of money or time...WE ARE THE PTO for you. Ever joined a group only
to have your ideas dismissed? It doesn't happen with us! We are the PTO for
you.
To us a great idea or a helping hand is worth all the money or time in the
world.
THANK YOU to all who made this year a flying success and to those of you
who have already joined for next year. We look forward to a great second
year as a PTO.
