Sound Advice?
I told my wife that I was considering writing a love advice column for the site. She was so overcome with her joy, at the thought of my worthwhile project she burst into laughter!
Regardless, I think I am more than qualified to give advice in such matters. I have been happily married for going on fourteen years now. I had several girlfriends, through school and don't think any of them hate me. I still see some of them from time to time and we speak. I dated sisters, (at the same time) and even after being caught escaped with my life.
My wife personally, knows most of my childhood flames and is even friends with them. One exception to this, but I refer you to my article on cats and dogs. This can hardly be my fault.
So why am I tempting the masses to lynch me by giving out advice? To save the human race! My viewpoint is unique to the male point of view. The boys of today have no idea of how to treat a girl, and the girls of today are beginning to allow idiots to treat them like second class citizens. I don't know if it's that way everywhere, but here in Union County boys hold their girlfriend's status just below that of his cowboy hat and four wheel drive truck.
The other day (before Christmas) I was at a local grocery store. There was this young lady bagging groceries. It was raining outside and these two bag boys were talking about their trucks. The bag-girl was busy bagging groceries. She was cute and most likely considered so in her school class.
While she was bagging groceries she said to the bagboys that she was going to get soaked when she took these groceries out. They laughed and returned to their conversation of trucks. Then the little lady pulled her jacket over her head and out the door she went with the groceries. The two morons still discussing lift kits for trucks.
Did they not see what this young lady was saying? She was asking them to help her. Now some applaud me as being a gentleman, but when I was in highschool it was more of a way to pick up girls. Either of these idiots could have approached this girl and said "let me take that out" and made major points with a pretty young lady. Saying something like "you're much to pretty to get wet" would have made more points but that's too much to ask of idiots.
So I mentioned this to a young boy I know who goes to school here in the county. Know what he said? She would have gotten wet sooner or later anyway. I'm telling you, with this sort of thinking the human race may become extinct in the next hundred years.
So, I am tired of my own kind (boys) acting this way and the fairer kind (girls) thinking they should take second place to a Ford truck.
Too many girls try to learn about cars and trucks to impress their boyfriends. Too many boys try to have girlfriends and then don't know how to treat them when they have them.
