Maynardville.Com has a new Look!
As time passes we all change. Maynardville.Com has undergone many changes throughout the years though none quite as drastic as this one. We started in early 1991 with space provided to us by AOL. We quickly outgrew that with our first message board and was kicked to the curb due to bandwidth usage.Later we went through several hosting services before we found our current home. We have migrated our message board from an open outlet where people could say anything and everything to a moderated system. Doing this cost us quite a bit of money. Some people believed we did so to keep out comments that we didn't like.
We have tried to supply a place where people can comment, discuss and even argue about topics without fear of major profanity or personal attacks.
This latest incarnation of Maynardville.Com branches us into a larger market. We will be soliciting articles from local leaders both political and private. Also we will have several special local guest columnists.
We will also work with each and every area of the county to find a columnist from that region. We will help that person set up a dashboard where they can write about their local happenings from their homes.
We hope our local papers will join with us and provide snipets from news articles they are currently working on.
ANY POLITICIAN with ANY VIEW may post to our site as a guest columnist.
Chip's archived articles from his coumn THE WILD LIFE will return in the next few weeks.
